Returns & Refund Policy

At Swadaara, we take immense pride in archiving and distributing pure, handwoven textiles crafted carefully by traditional weavers. Because each item is a product of slow fashion and structural human artistry, we strive to make our return, exchange, and refund process as transparent and supportive as possible.

Return & Exchange Timelines

We operate under distinct return evaluation windows based on the context of your request:

  • Transit Damage / Wrong Weave Transmitted: Must be reported to our support channels within 24 hours of verified package delivery, accompanied by the mandatory unboxing clip.
  • General Returns : Requests can be raised within 7 days from the delivery milestone, provided the textile is entirely unmodified and all original inventory elements are intact.

Mandatory Unboxing Video

⚠  Anti-Fraud & Quality Assurance Requirement: To safeguard the integrity of our artisan weaves and confirm the condition of transit deliveries, a continuous, unaltered unboxing video is strictly required for all return or exchange validation.
  • The video capture must demonstrate the sealed packaging being opened from the initial start to final finish.
  • The saree fabric, zari details, and associated tags must remain fully visible within the camera frame without any digital edits, cuts, or active pauses.
  • Claims filed regarding structural damages, transit blemishes, or incorrect items lacking a valid unboxing clip cannot be processed under any circumstances.

Eligibility & Preservation Standards

To successfully pass our return evaluation, the submitted item must comply with the following structural criteria:

  • The saree must remain completely unused, unwashed, unworn, and free from external aromas, perfumes, or physical fabric adjustments.
  • All original packaging layers, purchase slips, price tags, and authentic handloom certification markers must be firmly attached in their original placement.
  • Exclusion Terms: For structural reasons, any sarees where the **blouse piece has been detached/cut**, or where **custom falls, edging, or tassel work** have been executed upon your request, are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable.
  • Products acquired via seasonal clearance exhibitions or offline channels cannot be returned through our digital storefront.
A Note on Handloom Craftsmanship: Authentic handwoven textiles are defined by minor structural variations in thread loops, weave alignments, or dye depths. These characteristics are signs of genuine artisanal work and are not regarded as production defects.

Refund Fulfilment Flow

Financial reimbursements are exclusively authorized after the returned saree undergoes a fabric evaluation at our quality assurance unit.

For Digital Prepaid Purchases:

  • Refund processes are initiated within 24 to 48 hours following a successful item condition clearance.
  • The transactional balance is credited back to your original source of payment (processed via Razorpay) and generally takes 5 to 7 operational banking days to appear on your ledger.

For Cash on Delivery (COD) Transactions:

  • A secure banking link will be systematically transmitted to your registered mobile number or email address following successful reverse courier retrieval.
  • You will be requested to input your preferred bank settlement accounts securely via the interface to process the credit routing.

Please Note: Outbound distribution fees and specialized COD management charges paid during the initial purchase are non-refundable.

Cancellation Matrix & International Standard

Order Cancellation:

Purchases can be cancelled directly on the system within 1 hour of initialization. If your package has already left our dispatch bays, you can decline to accept delivery from the logistics agent, and the parcel will route back to us to be treated as a standard return.

International Consignments:

Return queries on global shipments are supported within a 15-day window. However, the international buyer must absorb all overseas transport fees, reverse customs values, and local cross-border import tax elements.
